Bruce, a Managing
Director at Infinity Capital, has been in the venture capital
business since 1991. Bruce
has invested in a range of chip, communications, and software
companies such as Coral Systems (acquired by Lightbridge),
SCM Microsystems (SCMM), Obsidian (acquired by Applied Materials),
QuickLogic (QUIK), Newport Communications (acquired by Broadcom),
Element 14 (acquired by Broadcom), Quantum Effect Devices
(acquired by PMC-Sierra), Terawave, Premisys (acquired by
Zhone), Smart Machines (acquired by Brooks Automation), Stream
Machine (acquired by Cirrus Logic), LightLogic (acquired by
Intel), GenOA (acquired by Finisar), Resonext (acquired by
RF Micro Devices), Morphics (acquired by Infineon), Proxim
(PROX), Worldtalk (acquired by Tumbleweed) and Quickturn/PiE
Design Systems (acquired by Cadence).

Recently Bruce has
engaged with a few new early stage startups such as in-bar-advertising
innovator BarFly Networks and LED system company Optoelectronix.
Prior to Infinity,
Bruce spent 4 years as a Venture Partner at Bessemer Venture
Partners and five years as a Vice President with Vertex Management,
an early stage venture capital firm. He has held operational
roles with Intel and Siemens as well as a short stint as a
management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

Personal
Bruce aspires to keep pace with his little boy Pete and finds
triathlon training almost rigorous enough. Bruce is on the
cusp of his tenth Alcatraz swim but has not completed one
with his son Pete on his back despite numerous requests. He
continues his fascination with language as he struggles with
German, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
